Peru... San Salvador a Cuzco

Corn Harvest

Harvest workers take a break to enjoy a morning mug of Chicha, a fermented corn beer beverage.

Passing the Chicha mug.

INCAN ruin at the end of a long canal system in the sacred valley. The snake here represents life and water used to flow down the carved rock and out the snakes mouth, signifying the fertilization of the earth.  We were shooting video and were able to pour a bucket into the channel to reproduce the original effect. The most fascinating part was that when the water came forth from the snake's mouth, it did so in two perfect streams as if emulating a snakes tongue.

A 250+ year old communal oven. They had hundreds of loafs of bread inside, as well as a whole pig, potatos and som Cuy (guinea pig)!

Colors or Peru are bold and beautiful everywhere....

A weaving like this will take 5-6 weeks to finish... It's truly amazing to watch them work the patterns from memory.

Chica Linda!

Fields of Amaranth

This time of year is stunning in the Sacred Valley.
